Human kinetics includes five programs that, in distinct ways, examine the field of physical education, including research methods, the impact of physical activity and fitness on health and wellness within Canadian and international contexts. The School of Human Kinetics combines academics and elite sport by collaborating with the Department of Interuniversity Athletics and various community, provincial and national sport organizations.
• Four-year programs lead to an Honours Bachelor’s degree in one of five distinct programs: Health Promotion (BPHE), Kinesiology (B.Sc.), Outdoor Adventure Leadership (BPHE), Sport and Physical Education (BPHE), and Sport Psychology (BA).
• Our Voyageurs Athletics and Recreation facilities include (three) gymnasiums, 50-metre Olympic Gold swimming pool, squash courts, 400-metre all weather eight-lane track, two 200-metre six-lane tracks (indoor and outdoor), four tennis courts, a beach, 35 km all-season trails, 3000 square foot weight and exercise rooms, a 10-metre climbing wall and a bouldering room.

Credit transfer opportunities are available from other recognized postsecondary institutions and are typically evaluated on an individual basis. Some fast-tracking opportunities also exist.
Several formal collaborative agreements with Cambrian College are also in place for this program.
